A bomber named Enola Gay released an atomic bomb over Hiroshima, and almost every building in the city collapsed into dust.Japan still hesitated to surrender. Three days later, another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, leveling half the city. an estimated 200,000 people had died, either from radiation poisoning, or injury. Japan then surrendered on September 2nd.
