Riots break out at the Stonewall Inn, a business frequented by gays, lesbians, and transvestites. It is no coincidence that it was also frequented by police who are looking to get their hands on some quick confiscated cash. -

Marsha, along with help from Sylvia Rivera, create Street Transvestites Action Revolutionaries. The organization actively helps to feed and shelter transgender youth. -

The American Psychiatric Association removes homosexuality as a mental disorder from the DSM. It is no longer a diagnose-able mental disorder from a medical standpoint. -
