    Lexington

    The battle of lexington was the battle where the british entered lexington and saw minutemen battle ready and warned them to not shoot, someone ended up shooting at one of the british soldiers. After someone shot, the british ended up killing many minutemen while only loosing one troop and the battle lasted only 15 minutes.

    concord

    The british soldiers marched into concord only to find an arsenal that was completely empty, the british decided to march back but minutemen where already waiting to ambush them and that they did. The 3000 minutemen where shooting at the british from behind walls and trees in the perfect spots causing them to win the battle and making the british retreat to boston.

    Battle at Bunker hill

    The british General Thomas Gage decided to send 2,400 men to attack some militia men on breeds hill near bunker hill. They say that this battle was one of the deadliest since the colonist lost 450 men and the british lost 1000.
  • New York

    the British sailed into New York to try and seize it with the end goal of stopping the rebellion. The British sailed in with 32 thousand soldiers and it included German mercenaries. The Continental army tried defending New York but since the were poorly trained they were forced to retreat .
  • Trenton

    In the battle of Trenton Washington defeating a handful of German mercenaries and then retreated, he then returned to Trenton to the lure the British forces into the south.

    Battles at sarotoga

    the battle at Sara-toga was at an abandoned farm once owned by john freeman. The battle was going on for a while with no one gaining any advantage until Burgoyne made his troops help their British line that was failing and that decision made the Americans retreat a little but nonetheless the British suffered more casualties than the Americans so they ended up retreating.

    The Americans ran low on food ans supplies so they fought at the winter camps in valley forge to stay alive. About 2 thousand soldiers died but the survivors kept on fighting.
  • Marquis De Lafayette

    while Lafayette was in France he secured 6000 french troops and sent to to the America to aid them. Lafayette was apart of the continental army and was providing tactical leadership while at the same time getting information from trance.

    Yorktown

    Lord Charles Cornwallis along with his army surrendered to George Washington at the battle of Yorktown. That outcome was the last major battle of the revolutionary war and after the end of that war America gained its Independence and George Washington was named the first president soon after.

    The treaty of Paris was a document signed by the representative of king George and the representative of the United states that ended the revolutionary war. That document also granted American Independence and gave borders to the new nation.
