Leonardo Da Vinci was born in 1452 in a small town in Italy called Vinci with his grandparents and parents.

At the age of sixteen, he wanted to study art, so he moved to the city of Florence for art classes.

Four years after, Da Vinci finished his studies.

Da Vinci worked as military engineer for the Duke of Milan. He always travelled outside of Florence to survey military projects. At that time, Da Vinci designed many buildings, created many inventions and worked on numerous artistic projects.

Leonardo Da Vinci returned to Florence. In 1503, he painted "The Mona Lisa".

In 1516, Da Vinci travelled to France where he stayed for the rest of this life.

On May 2, 1519 Leonardo Da Vinci died in Amboise, France.
