Leonardo Da Vinci was born April 15, 1452 in Tuscany, Italy. His parents were Ser Piero and Caterina.

Around 1466 at the age of 14. Leonardo became a garzone or a studio apprentice in Italy. His father introduced him to Andrea del Verrocchio and the workshop he worked in was called Verrocchio and was the the leading painter and sculpture. At the age of 17, he became an apprentice of Andrea del Verrocchio.

After five years, Leonardo got accepted to a academy about art in Florence, Italy but he decided to stay pedagogue's workshop. He then moved nine years later to work independently in Florence, Italy.

Leonardo moved to Milan and got a job for city duke. He was told to paint the Adoration of the Magi and St. Bernard Chapel by the duke. He gave up on them because he had other reasons to come to Milan.

His teacher Verrochio who taught him to be an apprentice at art and sculpting dies in 1488.

In 1490, Leonardo starts working on a bronze horse for Ludovico Sforza his patron and starts writing books on hydraulic works and landscape.

Leonardo starts painting the Last Supper in the Santa Maria Delle Grazie in Milan.

Leonardo attempts to make a flying machine but fails and also paints the roofs and walls in Sala Delle Asse.

The French army conquers Milan and Leonardo and his friend Pacioli go to Mantua and then on to Florence.

Leonardo becomes a military engineer for Cesare Borgia's military engineer and creates stuff designs military stuff like guns, catapults, and transportation.

Leonardo again try's to make a flying machine but fails again and starts to paint the Mona Lisa which he finishes later in 1505 and later becomes what he is known for most.

French governor Charles D'Amboise invites Leonardo to Milan in May to live with him and they become good friends.
