    Event 2

    Around 1455, Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press which led to the printing of the Bible. Many were now able to get their hands on the bible in a better condition. This event is significant as the Bible is an extremely important part of today's culture and without this event, it may not have been so to get one. With the printing press, we were able to print the Bible and distribute them among the people

    Begins appreticeship with the highly successful artist Andrea del Verrocchio. Starts his big journey to becoming a successful artist whilst working under an amzing leader.     Leonardo da Vinci completes his apprenticeship under the famous artist Andrea del Verrocchio. This is significant as it showed da Vinci's growth and success as an artist and he was now ready to take on the world spreading new ideas and information.     Event 5

    Once completing his apprenticeship, da Vinci was admitted into the Artists Guild. He then had the power to obtain his own patrons, and people began to recognize and respect him. This event is significant as it shows Leonardo da Vinci's success within the art world at the time and the power and recognition he would gain.     Event 6

    Moves to Milan to work for Ludovico Sforza (the ruler of the city). He works for him as a highly creative military engineer. This is a significant event as it shows da Vinci's many talents other than just art. He can take control and is a very intelligent and scientific man as well as creative.

    The War of Roses ends in 1487 for England. There is finally peace within the country and hope of a brighter more organized future. This event significantly shows the importance the country had in this war. England solved inner conflicts and would go to be a successful country.     Christopher Columbus finally reaches the "New World." After a long journey he discovers new land in the Americas. This event is significant as it is one of the biggest discoveries of this time.     Event 9

    After 3 long years, Leonardo da Vinci completed a work that he would eventually be famous for ,"The Last Supper." This piece depicts when Jesus informs the Twelve Apostles gathered for Passover dinner that one is soon to betray him.     Event 10

    Began his employment as a military engineer for Cesare Borgia after moving back to Florence. He would go to develop great plans and took careful notes which would help the military in defense. This event is significant, as although da Vinci was known for his artistic talent, he flourished in scientific and engineering as well.     Event 11

    Amerigo Vespucci a famous Italian explorer discovers land in South America. He sailed from Europe all the way to tip of South America to make a great discovery. This event is significant as Amerigo discovered a land which would later go on to be a seperate continent. He helped map makers to expand their knowledge and would help the world to learn and discover.

    Event 12

    Da Vinci began his incredible depiction of his painting, the Mona Lisa. Taking many years to complete, this peace brought a new look to something so simple as a portrait. This event is significant as it would come to be Leonardo's most famous work as well as one of the most famous creations in the art world.     Da Vinci was offered the title of “Premier Painter and Engineer and Architect to the King.” This event is significant as it shows da Vinci's accomplishments and how successful he must've been to recieve this honor.     Event 14

    Around this time, Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation began. This was the attempt to reform the Roman Catholic Church once and for all. This event is significant as Martin Luther was very successful with his attempts and got people to listen.     While in Amboise, France, da Vinci passed away at a fair age for his time leaving a legacy of works behind him. He would be remembered for his creative perspective as well as his new ideas on scientific topis. This event is significant as it symbolizes Leonardo da Vinci's great knowledge and appreciation even when he died. It shows the legacy he created and the works he'd leave behind.
