    President Paul Von Hindenburg appoints Hitler as chancellor of the nation. Citizens had no guaranteed rights.
  • Jew's suffering

    The very first concentration camp opened. It was located in Oranienburg outside of Berlin.
  • Hitler gains power

    The Enabling Act of 1933 passed. This act gave Hitler complete power over Germany
  • HItler's enforcers

    The Gestapo who is Hitler's group of enforcers is established to maintain "order"
  • Get rid of German traces

    The Nazis did everything to erase German pride. In May they burned German books.
  • German Purge

    Political murders known as Operation Hummingbird was taking place from June 30- July 2 in Germany. People who opposed the Nazi's were the ones killed.
  • Hitler gains more control

    Hitler gets the title Fuhrer of Germany. This gave him the position of chancellor and head of state.
  • Hitler gains total power

    August 2 President Hindenburg dies. August 19 Hitler becomes president of Germany and gains gull control.
  • Jews lose more laws

    Hitler is now in charge and opposes Jews. A law called the Nuremberg Race law completely strips Jews of all their rights.
  • Germany govt. eliminated

    Hitler took over all of Germany's government. The German Gestapo is placed above the law.
