Yep! Our family had a record player for years and every once in awhile we would pull out old records and listen to the scratchy songs.
-
In the beginning ... to listen to music I would just scan through radio stations to find good songs. Hours and hours of listening to the same songs.
-
After hours of listening to the radio I would get a cassette tape and record my favorite songs on a mix tape. Usually the radio announcers would talk over the beginning and ending of the songs but then I could just listen to my favorites whenever I wanted.
-
For Christmas I got a walkman. Now I could take the mix tape I had made and listen to my favorite songs everywhere I went, but only while the batteries lasted.
-
Then my sister got a CD player. We had to buy a CD of our favorite artists for $10-$15 a pop. But we could skip through to our songs much easier than fast forward and rewind.
-
Headed to college and my roommate had a CD player that held 5 discs and would switch from one CD to the next. We could listen to hours of music.
-
With an Ipod you could now buy songs from I-tunes or get your own songs from your CD's downloaded onto the Ipod.
-
Ipod shuffles were much smaller and could clip onto your clothes so it made running a lot easier. Still had to download all your songs onto it. The headphones would always fall out of my ears as I ran.
-
Pay a monthly subscription and you can now have all your music on your cell phone.
-
Going running with your music was a little easier now. Wireless Headphones made it so your phone could be in your pocket.
-
Airpods just fit inside your ear and connect with bluetooth. Running with your music is no big deal now.
