    In Great Britan King George III and parliment passed the stamp act. That meant they taxed the colonists for paper and tea. The colonists were outraged. They chased stamp agents then they stripped stamp agents and put sticky tar and feathers on them.

    The Boston massacre
    In Boston colonists start a british squad patrols the streets. Colonists start shouting insults at the troops. Then they threw ice and snow at the troops. The british thought it was an attack so they fired at the unarmed croud killing the first african-american Crispus Attucks.

    John Adams and a group of patriots dress up as Mowhawk indians and snuck aboard a british tea ship. They threw tea into the harbor and said "No taxation without representation!"

    The British took away all of the taxes except Tea. They shut down all the tea shops except the East India tea shop.

    Colonists in the Middlesex colonies snuck in british barracks and stole 250 1/2 barrels of gunpowder.

    Paul Revere warned colonists in Concord and Lexington he warned them that the british were coming to steal guns and ammo. This is one of his qoutes. "One if by land two if by sea."

    After the shot from whoever did it the battle of Lexington began. The minute men started firing at the British army. The british won. The patriots lost about 50 men. But the british suffered heavy losses. More than 250 men were killed or wounded.

    16 year old William Diamond banged his drum. This was a signal for the minute men to get ready. When the British soldiers came Major John Pitcarin started shouting insults at the paitriots. Then someone fired. No one knows who fired first the british or colonists.

    British troops attacked the american controled Bunker Hill. British won with suffering loss of troops.

    The British went to set up camp in Yorktown. Meanwhile down south Washinton was hatching a plan. He thought he could box in the British by using the French Navy to block their water way. Then he and his men would storm in and defeat the british once and for all!
