Hsssef is a bully who harms Hassan. Amir didn't do anything as Hassan got violated he just "stood there and watched" (73). -

After Amir won "[he] pulled [his] kite back as people rushed to congratulate me" (67). -
The special gift
Hassan has a hairlip. Trying to be kind Baba gets him a plastic surgen for his birthday. Introducing the gift Baba says, "this present will last forever" (46). -
Bullying
Amir says, "you know about Assef and his stainless steal brass knuckles" (58). -

Baba Dies
Baba recently found out he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Unfortunately this was devestating and Amir tried to convince him to get chemo when he says, "I wish you'd give the chemo a chance" (156). -
Amir meets his wife
Soraya was a beautiful girl Amir fell in love with. She helped him through his greiving process and always treated him respectfully. The first time Amir saw her he knew she was the one. -
Goes to find Hassan
Amir goes to find Hassan and says, "there were a lot of reasons why I went to Hazarajat to find Hassan" (203). -
Last Soviet Group

Amir goes to Pakistan
Rahim Khan calls Amir hoping he would come over to visit. He is very ill and wanted to see Amir before he dies. Not only does he want to see Amir but he wants Amir to rescue Hassan's son, Sorab. -
Hassan is Amir's brother!
Rahim tells Amir Hassan is his brother. To atone for what he's done he should rescue Hassan's son. -
Amir's rescue
Amir begins rescuing Sorab by rescusing him at the orphange. He finds out he was taken by the Taliban leader. Amir finds himself in a fight with his old bully Assef but ends up getting away with the child as well. -
