  • Stamp Act Congress

    A delegate meeting between 9 of the 13 colonies about the newly issued Stamp Act.
  • Townshend Acts

    Townshend Acts
    (Various dates in Jan.) A series of acts following the stamp act from the Parliament to help pay their debt to the French and Indian War. It reduced British troops in the Colonies and greatly raised the taxes on imported goods.
  • The Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre
    5 colonists were killed by royal British troops. This was caused because of the growing tension between the new issued tax acts and such the British made to colonists.
