Apple IMovie
Kathy and I met to discuss what technology she would like to learn how to use and use in the classroom. She would like to learn how to use Apple IMovie. Her goal is to create video to show in the special education student's IEP meeting. She is trying to use more technology with her students and she thought this would be a great way to document the student’s work. -

I met with Kathy today and discussed a few of her issues she is having and see if we can find a technology to help alleviate the problems. She would like to have a lesson plan builder that would allow her to have a drop down list for standards and benchmarks, and higher order thinking questions. I found Planbookedu.com. However, this would cost $25 a year for each teacher. I am going to continue to research other viable options. -

Researched for Lesson planing software
I spent a majority of the night looking for an online lesson planner that would help Kathy organizer her classes. Planbookedu.com had a really good lesson planner. However, it cost 25 dollars. It is difficult for me to ask someone to spend money when you are not sure exactly what the software can do. The second option that we have is a software called planboardapp.com. I believe that this is software is exactly what Kathy is looking for. I might even use this next year as my lesson planner. You -

IMovie
Today I showed Kathy how to use IMovie. Her goal with IMovie is to have her special educational student make a short documentary on their tasks they had at their jobs. IMovie has a capture tool that the students will be able to record their reflection after a day’s work. I also showed her how to import movies from her Ipad into IMovie. The students will put the reflection and the movie together in IMovie. They will show these movies at their next IEP meeting. -
