    Invertebrates were dominant. Mollusks became abundant and earliest fish that were jawless and later jawed and armored fish were present.

    Earliest terrestrial plants and animals. Tikataalik Euryoterids develop.
  • Devonian 395-345 MYA

     Devonian 395-345 MYA
    Armored fish go extinct but there was an abundance of several species of fish. Earliest amphibians and ammonites.

    The Mississippian and Pennsylvanian. Abundant sharks and amphibians. There were large swamps and coal was forming. Earliest reptiles found.
