Japan seized Manchuria in 1931. When the League of Nations condemned the aggression, Japan withdrew from the organization. The Western protests did not stop Japan. During WWII countires took other countires lands without permissions and when they were tryed to stop they did not listen like Japan.

Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935. Ethiopia struggles beucase of their outdated weaponds. The Leauge of Nations have no power in stoping Italy. In WWII no one was able to stop other countires from attacking other like Italy did.

In 1936, Hitler went against of the Treaty of Versailles. This connected to WWII because France got upset when Germany sent troops into the "demilitarized" Rihneland bordering Frnace which violated the treaty.

In 1936, Franciso Franco led a revolt that caused a bloody civil war. Many countires came to help fight in the war. This war was very deathly because of the modern weaponds. It foreshadows WWII because the new weaponds used in this was caused WWII to be deathly as well.

Hitler said that Sudetenland, Czechoslovakia must be annexed to Germany. This was a problem because Czechoslovakia was one of the only two remaining deomcracies in Eastern Europe but Britan and France were not willing to go to war to save it. In Agust 1939 Hitler and Stalin signed a nonaggression pact. The Pact was called the Nazi-Soviet Pact. Stalin wanted to gain land in Eastern Europe. This connected to WWII because countires would make agreements just to gain land like Stalin did.

German forces invaded Poland on September 1, 1989. Two days later, Britan and France decalred war on Germany, starting WWII.
