    Between 0-3 years there will be a major increase in height and weight. By the age of 3 all milk teeth are through. All muscles start to develop to be able to sit up, crawl around, walk, climb and run. Bones start to harden. Also due to muscle development you can pick up objects and start to feed yourself. This is motor control - fine/gross.

They also have their own social group at baby groups. This is primary socialisation.

    Run and climb, can kick and through a ball, treads small beads, can draw a person. Improved concentration, can count to ten, learns names of shapes. More independent, more confident. Plays more complex games with other children, understands sharing.

    Starts to learn to read. Can skip and hop, run well, can thread large needle, good control of writing. Keen to do well, shows sympathy to friends. Chooses friends, begins to understand rules. They beginto use hand/eye co-ordination.
