    Run and climb, can kick and through a ball, treads small beads, can draw a person. Improved concentration, can count to ten, learns names of shapes. More independent, more confident. Plays more complex games with other children, understands sharing.

    Starts to learn to read. Can skip and hop, run well, can thread large needle, good control of writing. Keen to do well, shows sympathy to friends. Chooses friends, begins to understand rules. They beginto use hand/eye co-ordination.
