This was very useful in destroying factories for the war effort. Incendiary Bombs reck havoc on the Japanese homes made out of wood.

"Island Hopping" was a tactic used by the American Army. They would go to every Japanese Island one by one and capture any forces and eventually take the Island. This led the American forces closer and closer to Japan. This allowed the U.S to establish Air superiority after the fall of Okinawa.
