    In the 1960’s it was all about the Beatles who were one of the top band. The 1960’s was known as the “Groovy 1960s.” It was the hippy decade but that’s not all it was. It was also Folk Rock and Pop. British Invasion happened in this time period too. Many British groups came over, who admired American Rock n’ Roll broke into the American industries. There were many popular songs, the top three are “A summer place” by Percy Faith, “He’ll Have To Go” by Jim Reeves, and “ Stuck on you”

    In the 1970’s disco was popular. But rock also followed along with punk rock and glam rock. Some top songs were “Hotel California” by the Eagles, “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppilen, and “American Pie” by Don Mclean. Another popular song was “I’ll be there’ by Jackson Five. In the 1970’s the war was in full swing and everybody needed songs for good moods and then there was disco. The music was fun and is was the disco life.

The 1980's was a decade for the music to have a revolutionary change.     In the 1990's was when music turned into complete hip-hop and those types of songs came into place. Some of the popular artists that we still know today are still Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Christiana Agullera, Vanilla Ice, Poison, Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dog, and Cover Girls. Some of the top songs were " I want it that way" by the Backstreet boys, "Vogue" by Madonna, and "Baby one more time" by Britney Spears. The late 1990's also introduced Eminem.

    2000's, music in this decade we saw people like Usher, Eminem, Drake, Britney Spears, Madonna, 50 cent, The Pussycat Dolls, Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Beyonce, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, and so many different artists that we see today. For some of them this was just the beginning. Rap and pop were slowly creeping up at us with this music. Music now these days reflect on those artists above, they all increased there abilities.

Music changed quite a lot from soft slow songs and now there fast upbeat songs that people dance out to crazily.
