    Congress passed a law that created the Second Bank because there was more than one type of currency going around, so this messes with inflation. So the solution would be to use the Second Bank to make one currency for the whole nation.

    It was Andrew Jackson going against Henry Clay. The main topic with the election was how Jackson vetoed the Bank Bill. Jackson won.
  • Veto of the Bank Bill

    Jackson vetoed the Bank Bill because he thought it would cause a monopoly because there was only one currency and it would cause the rich to get richer.
  • Wig Party

    Everyone who supported the bank would join this party and Jackson Democrats would also join not all of them but some.
  • Specie Circular of 1836

    Jackson made it so you could only buy land with silver or gold. He also made the banks only take 5 dollar bills.
  • Panic of 1837

    An economic depression had started. Inflation increase, unemployment increased, wages decreased, and profits decreased.
  • Election of 1840

    Martin Van Buren was going against William Henry Harrison. Harrison won but died later.
