    The two top contenders of this election was incumbent Andrew Jackson and challenger Henry Clay. The centre stage of this election was the rechartering of the bank in which Jackson rejected. In the end of the election, Jackson wining the election and serving one more term.

    In this speech, Jackson states the reasons why re-chratring the bank is not ideal and explains why he is against it. Some of these examples are related to the interpretation of the U.S Constitution, the Supreme Court decisions, and national interest.
  • Jackson's Policy towards Pet Banks

    In order to effectively eliminate the Banks of the United States, Jackson took an upresdicanet measure. He created numerous smaller banks in the states called pet banks. These banks receive their money form the money that the national bank but they were no used for financial gain but instead political gain.
  • Election of 1836

    After Jackson finished serving he practical terms it paved the way for a new president to take the helms. The newly formed Whig Party was in pursuit of the presidency but as they were created, there was critical flaw in their platform. This allowed Jackson's Vice President, Van Buren, gto win and to continue Jackson's influence over the country.
