  • The Seed Sower

    Invented by- Jethro Tull
    -The sower incorporated a rotating cylinder in which grooves were cut to allow seeds to pass from a hopper above to a funnel below
    -Farming became much easier and farms were producing bigger crops more efficiently
  • Steam Engine

    Invented by -Thomas Newcomen
    - Used steam to pump water out of mines
    - Was used in many settings to improve production and technology.
  • Flying Shuttle

    Invented by- John Kay
    - An improvement to looms which enabled weavers to weave faster
    -This changed the manual labor based weaving industry into a mechanised industry and produced higher quantities of cloth quicker.
  • Watts Steam Engine

    Invented by- James Watts
    - improved the already existing steam engine
    - allowed for quicker transportation of raw materials that could be used to produce finished goods.
  • Spinning Jenny

    Invented by- James Hargreaves
    -Makes the thread and yarns used be weavers in their loom
    -Revolutionised the textile industry because it made yarn production much faster and quicker
  • Crompton's Mule

    Invented by- Samuel Crompton
    -Produced a strong fine and soft yarn, which could be used in all kinds of textiles. This was an improvement on the Spinning Jenny
    -Made higher quality yarn which can be used for all kinds of textile quickly and cheaply
