It is the internet itself. It has enhanced our lives by giving us all the information we could ever dream of right at our fingertips. It allows people to connect, do research, learn a new recipe, work online, and watch videos and play games for entertainment.

    Text messaging was invented. It was invented by Neil Papworth. Text messaging is a way to send a message through the phone. Text messaging has become a large part of society. It has made communication much easier. The first text message sent by Neil Papworth in 1992 to his friend Richard Jarvis said “Merry Christmas”.

    Nokia 1011 was invented. It was the first mass produced GSM phone. It even included text messaging. It helped start the trend of personal phone use.

    DVD (Digital Versatile Disk). It was developed by Sony, Panasonic, Philips, and Toshiba. It is a flat circular disk, that stores media. It is mostly used for movies. The first movie to be released on a DVD was “Twister” in 1996. It changed how media was delivered. It allowed for movies to be easily transportable, digitally enhanced, and gave the viewer a better viewing experience by indexing the scenes and adding exclusive content.
