Introduction
Project management is good and needed when it comes to completing tasks and objectives within an IT background. It help not only complete the tasks but also set the tasks and keeps everything on track. Project management is also very helpful because you can also keep track of time and you can plan ahead to make sure you are completing everything that needs to be done to successfully complete the project. -
Aims
Learn about how Project Management is used in the IT industry. Create and plan my own IT project. Plan out the project and monitor the project through out. The project has to be IT appropriate. Make a Time plan over a certain period of time to make sure you complete the project to the right standards. -
Todays Work
Today I have managed to complete activity 2 and hand it in. activity 2 included planning out 3 projects and how I would complete them. I put all the information into a table/chart. I had to research the advantages and disadvantages of Gantt charts. -
Last Lesson Recap
Last lesson I was focusing on completing the exercises for activity 1. I had to research different methodology's to better my understanding. I also made a chart displaying when different project management techniques was found and how they was used. -

Todays lesson
Today I focused on different structures applied in IT services. I also made a start in working on the labs exercises. -
Last Lesson recap
White: Finished last part of assignment 1 as I was doing research on different methodology's
Red: I was a little late with the hand in date and it got stressful.
Yellow: I understand the assignment and know what is required to get a pass, merit and distinction. Overall I have a better understanding.
Green: Including more images to ensure it is more clear and looks less basic.
Blue: Using more bullet points to help make the tasks clear.
Black: Rather boring and doesn't include any physical work. -
Todays lesson
White: Started looking into assignment 2 and looking into different risks in detail.
Red: The hand in date is on the 9th and that's rather close so it may get stressful to make sure it is finished and ready to hand in.
green: Include diagrams/images to the assignment.
Blue: Use bullet points and plan out the assignment so it is ready for due date.
Black: A lot of work is required as the due date is only a week away which means a lot of work is required and there isn't any physical work involved.
