Chris canoes through Mexico
Chris entered Mexico with his canoe and tries to paddle out to the ocean so he can get back to the United States. He gets lost and need to be saved and he eventually got back to the United States. During this time he lost a lot weight and went 36 days without talking to anyone. -
Chris lives in Las Vagas
Chris lives in Las Vagas for a couple of months. There he burried his backpack outside of the city so he entered to city with no money or id. He worked at an Italian restaurante. -
Chris heads to Bullhead city
Chris left Las Vegas and went to Bullhead City, Arizona. This is where Chris spent the winter, flipping burgers at McCdonalds. -
Chris gets picked up by Jan and Bob
Couple Jan and Bob go to pick up Alex after he had contacted them by postcard for the first time in a while. -
Chris meets Ronald Franz
Chris meets a man named Ronald Franz who takes Chris in and acts as a father figure. Chris turns Ronalds life around and makes him stop drinking. Ronald wants to adopt Chris but Chris aviods him and when Ronald finds out that Chris has died later on he becomes crushed. -
Chris enters the wild
Chris enters his journey into the wild where he starts his mission on living off the land. He enters the wild with few supplies and a lack of knowledge of how to survive. -
Chris dies
Chris dies of stavation after only a couple hundred days in the woods. He died in an abandoned bus that he had been using for shelter. -
Chris' body get descovered.
A two and a half weeks after Chris' death his body was discovered by a group of hikers who saw the note that Chris left on the van. When Chris' body had been brought in it only weighted 67 punds showing how much he was starving
