The Treaty of Versailles Is Signed
The Treaty of Versailles is signed by Germany, agreeing to give land to multiple different countries, they have to limit their military to only 100,000 men, keep troops out of Rhineland, and pay for all reparations cause by the war, with this treaty, France and Britain hoped to cripple Germany so much they wouldn't be able to fight another war. -
League of Nations
The worlds first international security organization is set up, the US does not join and Germany and the Soviet Union are not admitted. The idea for the League of Nations was to prevent another World War from happening through disarmament, international security, and negotiation but this obviously fail miserably. -
International Communism
The Comintern is founded and encourages world wide communism and every country in Europe has a significant communist party. This caused political opposition within countries leading to debate on what is the better political party, and fascist like Hitler and Mussolini despised communists and Stalin had the same feelings for fascist. -
Fascism Appears In Italy
Mussolini becomes Prime Minister in Italy, his regime set up a model for fascism that others tried to imitate introducing fascism to Europe. Obviously this caused political and social outrage because of the extreme way fascist seemed to think and dictate, leading to conflict which in countries. -

A Hopeful Time
Countries in Europe look like they are beginning to get along and agreements are passed that ease the reparations like the Dawes Plan and the Young Plan and guarantee frontiers, the Locarno Treaties. Also Germany is admitted to the League of Nations. -
Stalin Comes to Power
After Lenin's death in January 1924, Stalin comes into power, but uses forces his policies on the people against their will using brutal police repression and purges. His reign lead to millions of civilians dead. -
Depression
The American stock market crashes and this starts the world wide depression. This cause a lack of support from America, Europe's supplier, and Germany's only way out of the reparations of WWI because they gave loans to Germany would no longer come. -
Japan Invades Manchuria
The Japanese army starts an undeclared war with China and all attempts to stop them by the League of Nations fails, showing weakness with the organization. Japan ignoring the League of Nations shows their lack of actual power, and other countries might start getting their own ideas. -
Third Reich
Hitler is now the new Chancellor of Germany, his Nazi Party and him are in full command in a few months. Germany has decided that they are now going to do what ever they want to do, and what ever Germany wants to do is what Hitler wants to do. -
Germany Withdraws
The Third Reich withdraws from the disarmament conference and the League of Nations. Hitler has officially secluded Germany from the rest of Europe and the World, removing himself from the disarmament conference should be worrying and should tell the World that Germany is up to no good and is ready to fight it out.
