    It was signed on behalf of the American and German governments after the ending of WWII. The aim was to restore relationships between the two nations. The reason that America signed a seperate peace treaty to the one of Versailles was because the U.S Senate did not consent to the ratification of the treaty of Versailles. In other words they did not sign the treaty of Versailles because signing the agreement meant joining the league of nations which America did not want to do.

This was came about due to the tensions that had risen between the two nations after Japan had invaded the Chinese area of Manchuria.

    The Nanjing Massacre was a period of 6 weeks when the Japanese armed forces murdered hundreds of thousands of innocent Chinese people in the city of Nanjing. During this time also over 80,000 women were raped or sexually assaulted. Bodies of people piled up in graves, many thrown into the sea. Japanese had no mercy on anyone killing infants as well. The Japanese goal was to destory the also burning down all homes and business and looting every last one. Over 300,00 innocent people died.
