    European explorers bring slaves to America

    The first time when european explorers bring enslaved Africa-Americans to the U.S. Many happy with the new workers for their country (people think they dont have to work anymore).
  • Cotton gin is invented

    Patented a year later. A machine that separates cotton seeds from fibres. This allowed for much greater productivity than manual separation of seeds and their fibres.
  • Slavery in Great Britain ends

    The Great British government abolishes slavery in the whole of England. Some unhappy of their workers gone, people being lazy.
  • Amistad Mutiny and Trial

    2 spanish explorers are taken over and the ship floats to America, where the slaves are taken to court. Slaves are, after court, allowed to be showed to public for a small fee of around $.50-1.50.
  • Compromise of 1850

    Pack of five bills. These passed the four-year confrontation between the slavery states and the free states. Here are some examples of the bills: California is now a free state, The slave trade was abolished in columbia.
  • Fugitive Slave act takes Place

    When slaves ran from their masters, to different states trying to void getting captured. Also partially counted as part of the compromise of 1850. If the slaves were found on other territories they would be returned to the state and owner from which they came from.
  • Slavery in Russia ends

    The Russian government abolishes slavery. Serfdom became the dominant relationship between the nobilities and the serfs. Though the Russian name for these people was not really what could be translated to serf.

    The Civil war in America

    A bloody civil war between the south and north of America, it was fought for tension getting too high about slavery debates and other big ctivities. At which end was the slavery also abolished.
  • Slavery in America ends

    America abolishes slavery. But acutally only in 1865 were all the slaves freed even counting the north side ones.
  • Singing of the Emanciptaion Proclamation in U.S

    This Proclamation ensured that all slves in the confederate states were to be forever free, and were to be recognized by police nd army. This document is very much related to the America abolishes slavery event since the whole of slavery was only abolished in 1865.
  • U.S Ratifies 13th amendment

    13th Amendment, also known as the outlawing of slavery and involuntary servitude. This was the end of any servitude possilble in America, all those with slaves or who knew anything about slaves would be prosecuted by law.

    Jim Crow Laws

    Was a law that siad: African-Americans were to be seperate but equal. So even that 'blacks' were now free they would still be seen as unequal to the white for the white were 'better'. For even on a bus, the blacks had to be in the back and white in the front. If the bus was full and a white person came on, a black person (closes to the white person) would have to give him/her their seat.

    Freedom Riders movement

    These people were civil right activists who fought for people of color and their rights. These activists would take rides, of buses from one place to another therefore the name freedom riders movement.
  • Assassination of Martin Luther King

    After a tiresome but famous speech, he was assassinated. mainly known for his civil rights, was also a very succsesful leader. Some said that there was a conspiracy and that the government had ordered the assassination.
  • Brown v Board of education - U.S Supreme court cases

    This was a law that removed all black and white schools to create new school for all of them to be together. This made sure that black and white kids would be together, though even in school white kids would still be able to find differences/bully the others.
