The Boston Massacre was an incident in which redcoats opened fire on colonists. The event was later depicted by Paul Revere in a painting called "The Bloody Massacre in King-Street." It brought many of colonists' views of the British to the negative side. -
The Boston Tea Party was an event in which colonists ambushed a British ship delivering tea. They did so because they were upset at the expensive tea taxes Britain had placed on them. After this, the British placed the "Intolerable Acts" on the colonists, which only made the colonists angrier. It pushed the colonists closer towards revolution. -
