  • The Mechanical Seed Sower

    Invented by Jethro Tull, the mechanical seed sower made large scale planting easier and increased germination of seeds, therfore lessened the waste of seeds
  • The Steam Engine

    Thomas Newcomen made a copy of Thomas Savory's machine invented in 1698, making it safer and more effective, The original steam engine was another source of power instead of coal. Newcomen's version of the steam engine had 5 horsepower compared to 1 and was used in steamboats, locomotors and factories.
  • The Flying Shuttle

    The flying shuttle was invented by John Kay and was an improvement on the orriginal looms. The flying shuttle created material faster and at a larger scale, therefore lees people had to be employed. The machine also made a large amount of fabric while a loom could only make pieces so big.
  • The Spining Jenny

    James Hargreaves invented the spinning jenny so spin more than one ball or yarn, this increased the production of textiles and made them more affordable.
  • The Cotton Jim

    Eli Whitney invented this machine in America, consequenly making it the leading manufacturer of cotton in the world. The cotton jim seperates the cotton from the seed and therefore was the birth of mass production of cottong producing the same amount of cotton in one hour as what would usually be produced in a whole day
  • The Steam Boat

    Robert Fulton invented the steam boat, a boat that relied on steam for powering. The steam oats became a commercial ferry line and carried raw materials and finished goods
  • Iron Aqueduct

    The iron aqudict is an iron bridge as an elevated canal which linked different towns which was very helpful for mountanous regions. This was invented by Thomas Tellford.
  • Electricity

    Michael Faraday invented the first electric powered moter that replaced old coal and steam powered moters and took over the factories.
