  • Jethro Tull invents the seed drill.

    His invention improved plough. His seed drill would sow seed in neat rows and cove up the seed in the rows. Tull was a part of a farmers group who founded the Norfolk system.

    There was steam power before T.Newcomen but they were just toys and gadgets but he wanted to stretch the meaning of the word "engine".
