James Hargreaves creates the Spinning Jenny in 1764.
The Spinning Jenny was used to create yarn, allowing one worker to operate 8 spindles at a time. (This was increased to 120 as tecnology advanced) -
James Watt improved the Steam Engine in 1769; he (James Watt) didn't actually invent the Steam Engine, he simply managed to make a much more effective on than the current best at the time, the Newcomen engines.
This was used to pump water from coal mines, and used in George Stephenson's locomotives. -
James Hargreaves died in April, 1778.
He is believed to have died at natural causes, at the age of 57. -
William Murdoch created many things, and improved on quite a few, but in 1784 he created the first model of the oscillating engine
These were used in ships, but are now outdated, and mainly created for toys. -
In 1814, George Stephenson created the 'Blücher'
The Blücher could only go 4 miles per hour, but it still managed to pull tons of coal.
Stephenson then went on to create more engines (16 in total), his best being the Rocket. -
In 1819, James Watt died of natural causes at the age of 85.

In 1821, Michael Faraday published a work on electro-magnetic rotation, which is how electric motors work; he didn't persue this to any length at the time, as he was caught up with other work.
In 1831, Michael Faraday created an electric generator, which is the basis for the electric motor, transformer and generator.
Faraday also laid the basis for electrochemistry. -
In 1839, William Murdoch died of natural causes at the age of 85

In 1848 George Stephenson dies of natural causes at the age of 67.

In 1867, Michael Faraday dies of natural causes at the age of 75.

In 1876, Alexander Graham Bell created the first telephone.
Alexander Graham Bell then founded his own telephone company a year later in 1877. -
Karl Benz drove the first car in 1885 in Mennheim, Germany
The first car was on three wheels, and only had a 958cc engine (a horse can run faster than that) -
In 1903, Henry Ford created the Ford Motor company.
In 1908, he release his first car, which sold 15 million (or so) copies in the US alone.
Henry Ford didn't invent the Automobile, or the assembaly line, he simply combined them, and managed to market them the most efficiantly. -
On December 17, 1903 the Wright Brothers created a machine that rose, flew and descended without incident.
Now, aeroplanes are used for any sort of lengthy travel overseas, and overland. -
In 1912 Wilbur Wright dies of Typhus at the age of 45.

In 1922 Alexander Graham bell died of natural causes at the age of 75

In 1929, Karl Benz dies of natural causes at the age of 84.

In 1947, Henry ford dies of natural causes, at the age of 84.

In 1948, Orville Wright dies of heart failure, at the age of 76.
