    the stone roses start in 1983 where they signed to an independant record company, but after releasing there first album were asked by a major record company which they accepted but this didnt go down well with the independant record company who they had signed a contract with, this then ment them going to court and the stone roses were given a ban from making music and performing music for 2 years and they never really released anything until 5 years after the ban.
