Aunt Eva and the Spirits
Mary Shelly begins livimg with Aunt Eva because her father was arrested, and learns of Julius' profession as a Spiritualist Photographer. She also learns of Aunt Eva's blind fate in Julius. -
The Mysterious Island
Mary Shelly meets Julius and allows hime to take a spiritual photogra[h of her. Mrs. Embers is also hurt and Julius rushes Mary and Aunt Eva out of the house. -
A Transparent Figure
Mary Shelly picks up the picture julius took of her. Stephen's "spirit" appears in the photo. Julius tells Mary Stephen died at war. She also learns of her dad's 20 year sentence and intentionally stands under lightning to be struck. She dies temporarily. -
Blue Smoke and Whispers
Stephens "funeral" is today. Here is the first instance where Mary Shelly experiences an encounter with Stephen's spirit communicating with her. -

That night, after the funeral, Stephen's spirit meets Mary Shelly in her room. This is the firrst time she actually sees him. -

Julius believes that Mary Shelly can communicate woth Stephen, so he takes her to a seance where everything gets out of control. -
The Weight of Souls
Mary Shelly notices that she can attract a compass -especially when Stephen is around- and goes to Mr. Darning for advice. Mary Shelly goes to the library to research spirits right after. Then begins volunteering at the hospital to speak to the wounded soldiers in order to find out what might have happened to Stephen. -
A Bloodstained Sky
Mary Shelly meets Stephen, and he tells her that he's trapped in his room; not at war. The place he is being attacked by these men/birds is his room. -
Paul Spitz
Paul Spitz, a wounded soldier in the hospital, informs Mary Shelly about what really happened to Stephen. -
Cousin Gracie
Gracie asks Mary for a séance. Gracie tells Mary about Grant and Julius using drugs the same night Mary figured. Stephen died. Mary learned that Julius was testing on Stephen to see if he could see or contact spirits. -
The Darkest Hours
Aunt Eva falls fatally ill. Mary goes into Stephens room with Mr. Darning to find evidence that Julius killed his brother, but she finds out that Mr. Darning was working with Julius. They get into a fight- Julius included- and Mary is knocked out. Dead again. She manages to relive a second time and Julius and Mr. Darning is turned in.
