  • Roanoke

    In 1585, Sir Walter Raleigh founded Roanoke to Expand Englands territory and search for gold.

  • Jamestown has been established

    May 14, 1607 was the date that Jamestown was established by colonists. Jamestown did not have a very great beginning

  • Pequot War

    Pequot War
    While the Puritans towns were growing, settlers needed more land, food, etc. This meant that competition increased for the important resources with the Native Americans around, especially with the Pequot. 1637 was the date that Connecticut attacked the Pequot. They killed and/or captured the Pequot and in 1638, they'd defeated the Pequot.

  • King Phillip's War

    After Massasoit, died, his song, Metacomet(King Phillip) Became king. Phillips father had become friends with the pilgrims, and after he'd died, the colonists started to take over the land after they'd been friends with the prior king. This is what started King Phillip's War.
