Astralopithecus Afarensis
Astalopithecus Afarensis,also known as southern ape,lived 3 to 4 million years ago.They were located in Africa near the Afar triangle.They were 3ft. tall and a mix of ape and human.They had longer arms with a large head and forehead.Also,the jaw stook out.Furthermore,no tools have been found by these types of hominds.For capabilities they could cary items in their hands while walking on 2 feet and used their hands for defense. -
Homo Habilis
Homo Habilis,Handy Man,lived 1.5 to 2 million years ago and also lived in Africa.They were a mix of ape and human and walked on 2 feet.They were also taller than Lucy,Astralopithecus Afarensis.Handy Man was about 4 ft. tall and the brain was twice the size of Lucy.For tools they used rocks for chopping,sharpened stones for cutting,and bones as digging sticks.Homo Habalis was the first to make tools and lived in groups.Lastly,they had a longer lifespan. -
Homo Erectus
Homo Erectus known as upright man took place from 1.8 million years ago to 200,000 B.C. There location was on an island named Java in Asia and they lived in Europe.They were taller and thinner than the earlier hominds.Some were even over 5 ft. Their forehead was round and smooth with a brow ridge.Additionally,they had a thicker skull and a jaw that stuck out.Next,they used a stone hand,axes,and fire for tools.Upright Man was the first to migrate out of Africa and they wre superb walkers/runners. -
Homo Erectus
They used fire to cook and are more meat.For shelter they made huts and used animal skins. -
Homo Sapieins Neanderthalensis
Wise man lived 230,000 to 30,000 B.C.The group was locared in Neander Valley,Germany.They had thick bones with a browridge shorter,but stalkier.Thier brains were stronger than modern large brains.There were more than 60 types of tools.For example,they had knives,scrappers,and spear points.They were the 1st to hunt in a group and 1st to bury their dead Wise man lived with modern hamans for 10,000 years. -
Homo Sapiens Sapiens
Doubly wise man lived 35,000 to 12,000 B.C.They started in Africa but migrated around the globe.Homo sapiens sapiens had high rounded skull with a large brain and small teeth.Also,had slender bones.They attached blades to other tools and created needles for sowing.They also invented the bow and arrow and the attle attle.Doubly wise man hunted from far distances.Cave paiters painted to express themselves.Lastly,they used pictures to teach complex language.
