  • John Winthrop’s City Upon a Hill

    The City Upon a Hill is a important speech that was given in Massachusetts by Winthrop. It is also a religious speech and Winthrop tells the people to be united to obey God, to be a role models of the world, and to spread Christianity. This speech also shows how desperate Winthrop is to make Massachusetts look good.
  • Salem Witch Trials

    These trials began when a group of girls accused multiple women of witchcraft. The accused are guilty until proven innocent. Many people were condemned to death in these trials.
