Maggie Valley was named this valley after a 14 year old girl in 1904.Its also a town in Haywood County, North Carolina. The girl name was Maggie Setzer and now today its still there in Haywood County. -

Yadkin - PeeDee River Basin was bulit by a man named Badin Lake in 1917. It has been described as a bassmaster's paradise where largemouths lurk around the forseted shortline's rocky point. -

Shorelines
North Carolina has an extensive shoreline with about 325 miles of ocean shoreline and also over 12,000 miles of shore along the estuary. While much North Carolina's estuarine shorelines is undeveloped, over 600 miles with structures like bulkheads and gorins. -

The fall zone remains important in the modern day for measurement and management of the pollution in North Carolina's rivers. There are different types of soils and also water flows on either side of the fall line allows the scientists studys the effects of the pollution into rivers, serving and etc.
