in 1933 Hitler rose to power and took over all of Germany. he was able to pass the enabling act that gave him the most power in Europe. once the act was passed Hitler took fast action against the Jewish people nazis had started boycotting the Jewish-owned stores.

the nazis had to go to post-war trials for the genocide they committed. a lot of the soilers used "I did what I was ordered" but the judge wasn't having it. they said that wasn't a good enough excuse for what they did. because they knew what they did was very wrong even if it was ordered. the nazis got charged with crimes against peace, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
