On March 13, 1932 Hitler lost to Paul Von Hindenburg. Hitler recieved 33.6% of the votes. He was given the oppertunity to become vice Chancellor but he rejected the offer.

On the night of Febuary 27, 1933 the Reichstag building was set on fire. A communist was in the building so Hitler and the Nazi’s used this against the communists, Saying that the communist set the fire. To this day people don't know what caused the fire.

On March 5, 1933 Hitler and the Nazi's recieved 44% of the vote during the general election. The Nazi's got 288 seats in the Reichstag. This ment that the majority of the Reichstag was the Nazi party.

On October 1, 1933 Hitler was appointed vice chancellor, by Paul Hindenburg. Hitler became vice Chancellor because Paul Von Hindenburg was very sick. This is Hitlers first step to become dictator.

On August 2, 1934 Paul Von Hindenburg died. This means that Hitler gains complete power over Germany.
