    In 1933, Adolf Hitler is appointed to power. this puts hitlers plan into motion.

    Just 7 days after Britain and France declared war, canada declared war on germany. although canada was then their own country, they still followed closely behind britain throughout the second world war.
  • Italy declares war on Britain and France

    Italy declares war on Britain and France
    When italy joined the Axis with Germany, it changed the way the battles were faught. with more power, germany continued its expansion. At this time, Poland, Norway, Denmark, France, Belgium had been either invaded or captured.
  • France surrenders

    France falls and surrenders to germany. Canada is forced to expand and support britain.18 days later, the battle of britain begins and canada begins participating in air combat above the english channel.
  • Germany invades russia.

    throughout june, germany invaded russia, Russia (Soviet Union) joins the allies with france and britain. Up to this time, France, Russia, Poland, Norway, Denmark, and Belgium have been either invaded or captured.

    Japan joins the axis.
    Japan joins Italy and Germany to fight against the Allies. the battles continue and canada is forced to expand again. they also agree to send two divisions over to Hong Kong to help the british army against Japan incase Japan suprised the allies.

    Victory in Europe day. Germany and Italy are defeated after years of battle. many countries have been invaded and captured and the german forces have surrended. the forces retreat and europes battle are finished. now the allies can focus on defeating Japan. The U.S lead the attack on the Japanese (likely due to the pearl harbour retaliation)

    Japan surrenders and the war is over. The allies hold their ground to ensure the war is over for sure. Less then a month later, on September 2nd, the end of the war is made official. The surrender cerimonies are held on an ally battle ship called the Missourri in Tokyo Bay.
