North-California admitted as a free state, the slave trade was abolished.
South-Strong Fugitive Slave Law. The two territories can vote to permit slavery. -

Linclon thought that slavery was wrong but legal. Slavery should not be expanded. Douglas won the election. He became nationaly famous. -
Harpers Ferry
There was a raid at Harpers Ferry.John Brown led the raid. They did it to stir up a slave revolt in virginia and end slavery. John Brown was captured and killed. -
