    The Great Awakening
    It was important because we probably wouldn't be as free as we are today because of their workthey put into it. It came to be when the church ministers saw the colonists religion declining. People traveled many miles to hear sermons by George Whitefield. The colonist felt happy because they had George Whitefield forgive their sins. It led to people with not that much political freedom were introduced to democratic systems used in their colonies.

    It led to the British Capturing Quebec which then giving Britian the upper hand in the war.

    It was important because it made the French colonists relize thier lack of unity which was their dangerous weakness. What led to it was that they were fighting for land. The French and the British fought at Fort Necessity, General Edward Braddock was defeated by the French, and there was a fight for Canada. Some of the soldiers were angry at the General Braddock for making them line up in line to fire at an enemy they couldn't see.

    Proclamation of 1763
    It banned any further British colonial settlement west of the Appalachian Mountains. The leaders feared that they would lose more lives so they made the Proclamation of 1763. The Proclamation made colonsts who already moved to the upper Ohio River Valley had to remove themselves from the settement. The colonists ignored it and did what they wanted to do. It led the colonists to expand their settlement and explorers went out to explore the Appalachians.

    It taxed the colonist on molasses and suger that was imported.It started after the British won the French and Indian war. Colonists were taxed on suger,etc. and Parliament banned colonists from printing their own money.The colonists were getting mad that they were getting taxed and that they couldn't print their own money. It led to peopel being accused for smuggling in the British courts.

    It affected most colonists because they had to pay for an official stamp when they bought paper goods. The colonists failed to suggest any suitable ideas so Parliament passed the stamp act. Colonists had to pay for a stamp for any papered goods and the colonists didn't want to pay for it. Colonist were getting upset that everyday items that were being produced were taxed. It led to the colonists protesting against the stamp act.

    It helped pay military expenses and the salaries of colonial governors. The Crown needed a way to pay the military expenses and colonial governors. British costoms agents used writs of assistance to enforce the townshend act and the colonists did another boycott cause of it. It made the colonists do a large-scale boycott of British goods. It led to British soldiers coming which then led to the Boston Massacre.

    It's important because it probably led up the American revolution. The Bostinians saw the presence od the British troops as a threat and so they started getting upset and arguing. First British troops came then colonists started arguing, then a sentry and a worker started arguing, then a group of colonists started rioting and a troop shot into the crowd.

    The colonists felt angry that the British government sent British troops into their town. The Boston Massacre led to the colonists rebeling against the British Government.

    It is important because Parliament wanted to show the colonists that they still had the right to tax them. What led up to it was to reduce tension in the colonies. Colonists bought several million puonds of tea each year which then the British East Indian Company asked Parliament if they could sell their tea butthere was a tax. It led to the Boston Tea Party.

    It showed how the colonists felt about the Tea Act. The colonists didn't like being taxed when they bought tea. The sons of liberty demanded that ships leave without unloading the tea, then one night some colonists dressed up as indians and went up on the ships and dumped all the tea into the harbor. The colonists reaction was that they went and did something about their problem by dumping the tea into the habor. It led to Parliament passing the Intolarable Acts.

    It made the colonists pay for all the tea that was destroyed. Because of the colonists actions of the Boston Tea Party Parliament passed this law. Parliament passed the Intolerable Acts, then General Thomas Gage replaced Thomas Hutchinson as Governor of Massachusetts to restore royal authority. The colonists response is that they convened the First Continental Congress. It led to the act being repealed in 1778.

    In Concord, the minutemen pushed back the British to Boston and they had suffered 250 casualities. The colonists reaction was to fight back against the British Troops. It led to the Second Continental Congress being formed.

    It was important because it showed how much power the colonists had in small numbers. King George the third caused it by refusing to consider the British's demands. King Goerge the third didn't consider the British's demands, then the Birtish leaders ordered troops to seize the colonial malitia's weapons. The minutemen went to warn the people of Lexington that the British had crossed the Charles River, then at the Lexington village green,near Concord did the minutemen fight the British troops.

    It was important because it was a moral victory for the colonists at the Battle of Buker Hill. What led to it was after the Minutemen held Boston under seige. First the colonists secured all of the hill, then the Red Coats did a frontal assault. and the commander said,"don't fire till you see the whites of their eyes."

    Soon the colonists were outnumbered and retreated but they had a moral victory at the Battle of Bunker Hill. The colonists tried to fight back but they had to retreat in the end. It led to common sense which then being put on the Declaration of Independence.

    It was important because it told the people that countries should be ruled by laws made by the people. What led to it was when the people were trying to to break away from Great Britian. Thomas Paine wrote a pamphlet called common sense, it achieved popularity because of its message and its style. The pamphlet changed many colonists' attitudes towards Britian. It led to some of the Continental Congress Members deciding it was time to make the idea of independence a reality.

    The colonists were happy because they finally had independence from England. It led to the 13 colonies having their own independence.

    It is Important because it a is a written document that said we declared independence from England and explained why we are going to. What led to it was that Continental Members said that they wanted to make independence a reality. Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Frankline, Roger Shermon, and Robert R. Livingston got together and made a ruft draft of the Declaration of Independence. Then after they all checked it, they then made a final draft of it.

    It was important because it was a major victory for the Patriots. What led to it was after General Howe won at the Battle of Brandywine Creek. General Burgoyne headed for New York but then his troops were outnumbered with the Patriots at the the Battle of Saratoga and he lost in the battle. The Patriots were happy that they won at the Battle of Saratoga. It led to foreign allies of foreign countries supporting the Patriots.

    The Battle of Yorktown is important because it was the end of the revolution. What led to it was when the Patriots were about to attack Cornwallis's weakened troops. The French General Comte de Rochambeau blocked any ships from entering Chesapeake Bay. The colonists felt happy that they won the Battle fo Yorktown. It led to the Treaty of Paris.

    It was important because Britain recognized the independence of the U.S. What led to it was they couldn't pay for another army to attack the colonies. The Treaty of Paris set the american boundries, returned florida to spain, and allowed the U.S. to settle and trade west of the 13 colonies including Europe. The colonists felt glad that the war was over and England did not rule them. It led to no war.
