Movable Type Printing Created

The very first known movable type printing methode is used/ created by a chinese inventor named Bi Sheng around 1040 current era or after christ during the Northern Song Dynasty. The Printing Press is Invented

Around 1440 a european named Johannes Gutenburg makes the first ever printing press allowing the automatic printing of texts instead of hand written copies. The Typewriter was Invented

In the Early months of 1714 the typewriter was invented and patented by an Englishman named Henry Mill. The Commercially Accepted Typewirter

While before this date the typewriter was indeed already in existance it was first commerciallized and made much more practical in the July of 1867 by Christopher Latham Sholes an American printer apprentice in Pennsylvania. Christopher is known for the invention of the "QWERTY" keyboard or the key setup we still use today to type our own documents. Dot Matrix Printing

For the first time the dot matrix printer, a commonly thought of idea was invented by a company called Centronics. This was a printer that made any pictures or letters out of a system of small dots. 3D Printing

In 1986 after a small revolution of three dimensional technologies the idea of the 3D printer was put into play. While technically 3D printing was introduced before digital, 3D printing is still being experimented with today and unlike digital is still only for the richest of men and has not found a way into normal society. Digital Printers

The most current and common form of printing today, like dot matrix printing preforms extremly accurate prints using much smaller pieces of color called pixels as seen on a computer screen. Today we can print pictures unbeleivably accuratly using these.
