    They starred in the Phonofilm- Opera vs. Jazz. Phonofilms are short musical films and could be considered the first type of music videos. They also appeared in The Girl Friend (1926), Show Boat (1927) and Irene (1919-1921). They are arguably the most famous musical duo from the era and set the path up for following acts like Charlie Chaplin.

    One of the first musicals. It was described as having musical comedy and musical storytelling. This would go on to influence a lot of future musicals. It was revived in 1932 by Ziegfeld in 1932 and kept almost all of the original cast. It was also revived in 1936 and was made made into a film by Universal Studios. This goes to show the popularity of some of the early musicals.

    Despite having hits in the 90's, the earliest music videos I could find were from 2008. The earliest I could find was Cigarettes and Alcohol which was published to YouTube on February 7th, closely followed by Supersonic on February 8th. Oasis are one of the most famous and liked modern rock bands emerging in the 1990's. They have also inspired some of the later rock bands of today.

    Justin Bieber's Baby is the most disliked music video on YouTube with 7,789,190 dislikes. It has more dislikes than likes. This video kicked off artists sharing their videos on YouTube as they could get a lot of views and boost their popularity, at the time Justin Bieber wasn't famous. If he could get a lot of attention, so could a well respected artist. It mostly started pop stars sharing their content on YouTube.
