  • Vitaphone

    Vitaphone
    Vitaphone was a sound film system used for feature films and nearly 1,000 short subjects made by Warner Bros. They featured many bands, vocalists and dancers.
    Vitaphone was the last major analog sound-on-disc system and the only one which was widely used and commercially successful. The discs would be played on a turntable physically coupled to the projector motor while the film was being projected.

MTV aimed to play the most up to date and modern music with their videos in the hope that they would attract a young, influential audience. MTV is still as successful today as it was when it launched, even though there are increasing numbers of competitors in the music video channel industry.

The most viewed music video from the website is Gangnam style, it was the first and only video to surpass 1 billion views. It now currently has 2,592,745,215 views.
