    Houses in the 1200's.
    In the 1200's, houses were simple huts with one or two rooms. They didn't have windows with glass or chimneys yet, making it cold in the winter and hot in the summer.

    Houses are still small, like in the 1200's. Some houses are now having windows installed with glass. Most houses were a comfortable place for a person to go in the time period.

    The houses are starting to get a little bigger, some houses have chimneys added, but houses are still hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

    Houses are tall with more rooms. More and more houses are starting to be made with windows and chimneys, making it easier to keep your house cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

    Log cabins are starting to be more common. Houses are still growing to be bigger and more windows and chimneys are being added.

    More houses are being made of brick and stone. Houses are growing and some have two stories instead of one. Screen doors are more common.

    Houses are closer together. Houses are getting taller and richer people can afford to make their houses out of stone.

    Houses are staring to have attics and basements. Houses are a little more spread apart and are growing less then they were.
