    Charter 1732The Charter of 1732 was when King George III granted Oglethorpe and his Trustees to go and establish the colony of Ga.
    The 3 main purposes of founding Ga were charities, economics, & defences. Rum and slavery were prohibited in the Charter of 1732. Blacks, catholics, and lawyers were banned from Ga.

  • Founding of Savannah.

    SavannahThe first city found in Ga was Savannah. James Oglethorpe was the founder of Ga. The ship they traveled in was called Anne. Tomochichi gave them permission to land in the Yamacraw bluff. Mary Musgrove was the translature for the Tomochchi and Oglethorpe.
  • Founding of Ebenezer.

    Ebenezer . The origional founders of Ebenezer were the Salzburg colonists. They moved there becuse of their religion.
  • Founding of Derion.

    They were recruited to Derion because they were highly capable soldiers that people were scared of.

    Battle of Bloody MarshThe English led Georgia into this battle. The colonists faught the Spanish in this battle. The English won the war.Oglethorpe led Ga to win the battle. The battle was important because the Americans got their spirits up and Spanish got their spirits down.

    The Malcontents complained about the 21 trustees. They were complaining about no slavery, no rum, and no land enheiritance. King George was in charge of Ga when it bacame a royal colony. King George, Governor John Reynolds, and James Wright were the 3 royal governors in order.

    French and Indian War pic The war was a conflict between the American colonists (English) and the French. The English won the war. The Colonists won the other sides land. Since the war was fought in the states the British taxed all the colonists more to pay for the destruction, which then lead to the American Revolution.
  • Proclomation of 1763

    Proclomation of 1763 picThe Proclomation of 1763 preserved the Indians land west of the Appalachian Mountains. King George didn't want the Indians and the Colonists to get in a war again. The colonists were angry because they really wanted the land because if the colonists had the western land then they could make more money from farming.

    Stamp Act picThe Stamp Act taxed all papers like newspapers, pamphlet, etc. The British put the law in place because Britain was in major debt from the French and Indian war. The Colonists were angry because the English came into the colonists territory and destroid everything then taxed the colonists for the war therefore the colonists got mad because of the tax.

They closed down the harbor, they forced colonists to take in British soldiers when they needed shelter, they shut down Town Hall meetings, and the big cases involving redcoats would happen in England.

    Seige of Savannah picThe British had control of Savannah. French forces helped the Colonists in the battle. The Colonists lost the battle. It was an unsuccessful try to liberate Savannah.
