    Hernando deSoto explores Georgia
    Hernando de Soto came to Georgia for gold. Natives there were affected by diesease that leveled there population. de Soto killed and enslaved most of the surviveing natives. He traveld through afnd out of georgia and eventually died in louisiana never finding gold.

    it originaly took hundreads of ours to seperate the seeds but now it takes a day to produce 50 lbs of cotton.

    andersonville was a prison for POWs. POWs are Prisoners of War. the prisoners had very little food and needed to make there own shelter. they mostly died of diesease if not of hunger or being killed by gaurds or other prisoners.

    Hartsfield served as mayor in six terms. he served longer than any one in history of Atlanta. He served 1937-41, 1942-61. He served during a critical time when races were being intergrated and the population went from 100,000 to 1 million.
