This event is historically significant because this is when a political leader hold absolute power over a country.

Hitler used his power to change Germany into a totalitarian state. SS came around and killed enemies. Nazis took command of the economy. Millions of Germans were put to work and the number of unemployed decreased from 6 millions to 1.5 million in 1936. This event is significant because once Hitler became the leader, many people died.
