After WWI, Germany established a democratic government called the Weimar Republic, that divided the powers in 2 major positions; the President, and the Chancellor. This government was weak and unestable, so different political parties started to gain power and support (like the National Socialist Party). -
Mein Kampf was written
Mein Kampf was written by Hitler when he was in jail. In this book, he described his political ideas about Jews, and his ideas for torturing and killing the Jews (concentration camps). He said that the Arian race was the most pure, and perfect. -
Adolf Hitler became Chancellor

First Concentration Camp (Dachau)
The first concentration camp was build in 1933. It was made for political prisoners, and during the first year, the camp had more than 4800 prisoners, and mostly germans that were against hitler. During time, this concentration camp had more Jews, homosexuals, "gypsies" etc. Dachau remained in operation throughout the period of the Third Reich, and it is calculated that more than 41500 persons were killed in this camp. -

Nuremberg Laws
Nuremberg Laws were passed for the protection of German blood nad honor. This laws prohibited marriages between jews and pure blood german citizens. -
Kristallnacht
Kristallnacht were different organized attacks on Jewish homes, businesses and synagogues.The pretext for the attacks was the assassination of the German diplomat Ernst vom Rath by Herschel Grynszpan, a 17 year old German-born Polish Jew living in Paris. A resume of this episode:

Hitler invaded Poland
Hitler invaded poland the 1st of september. Just that day, France and Great Britain declared war on Germany. This was the starting of the WWII. -

Second World War
After Poland was invaded by Hitler, France and Great Britain declared war on Germany. Germany started attacking Denmark and Norway followed by Belgium, The Netherlands, and France. In the summer of 1940, Germany attacked Britain, this time exclusively from the air (Battle of Britain). Germany failed in this battle.
In 1941, Germany started its most ambicious action, to invade the Soviet Union. This country was just too big, combined with its brutal winters, and the Russian Army. -
Auschwitz I
Auschwitz had different camps, but this was the original one. At the entrance to Auschwitz hung a sign with the frase Arbeit macht frei "Work liberates". In the original concentration camp (Auschwitz I) there were 70.000 persons killed, althought is not the camp with the highest numbers of persons killed, this camp was Auschwitz II with more than 1 million persons. -
End of WWII
American and British troops invade Italy. Mussolini and his wife tried to escape to Germany but they were captured, killed and exhibited to popular rejoicing. The 30 of April 1945, Hitler and his wife commited suicide in their bunker. The USSR took control of Berlin, and the war was over.
