    The first sheet of ice was placed inside the Convention Hall in Hershey. This was a smaller sheet of ice at 60x170 feet.

  • Swarthmore Athletic Club

    Swarthmore Athletic Club was the first group to hold an ice hockey game on this sheet of ice and soon became the hockey team of Hershey.

  • Hershey B'ars

    The Hershey B'ars was the first professional team in Hershey that used the Hershey name and played in the Tri-State League.

  • Hershey Sports Arena

    Now known as the Hershey Park Arena, the Hershey Sports Arena was Built and became the new home for the Hershey Bears. This was a new and improved building that could hold a bigger crowd and is regulation size ice sheet.

  • Giant Center

    The Giant Center was built to become the new home of the Hershey Bears. The Hershey Park Arena became out of date and the Hershey Organization looked for something new and this was the solution.
